In Finnish, onni means happiness. Add -la and a word becomes a place — the way kahvi, coffee, becomes kahvila, a café.
So onni becomes Onnela: the happy place. It is also an old Finnish family name, which we like. It sounds like someone you would be glad to see at the door.

It's the corner where the lamp is warm and the throw is within reach. The spot the kids climb into, the dog quietly claims, the one you sink into at nine o'clock with the last chapter.
Onnela makes the soft things that turn a corner of your home into that place — and then gets out of the way.
No frame and no springs. Deep, resilient foam under a quilted top, wrapped in a chenille that feels like a favorite sweater.
It comes folded in a box that fits through any door, then slowly breathes back into shape over a few days — as if it were making itself at home.
Sit cross-legged, lie down, pile on. Made for the way people really use a sofa on a slow Sunday, not the way they pose on one.
We name them plainly, so the name of the house does the talking.

Pajamas, cartoons, a small person on the move.

The weekend's first chapter, read twice.

Lamp on. Phone away. Yours again.

We choose fabrics the way you choose a sweater: by touch. Chenille with a gentle pebble, in colors borrowed from a quiet house — oat, mushroom, stone and walnut.
The same calm, sized for small people. Rounded, wipeable, quietly cheerful — in a color we call Cloudberry.

A sealed, soft-touch surface with gentle sides. No cover to wrestle with — a quick wipe and you're done.
A little round chair that ships flat and comes back round. Just the right height for a picture book.
A couch at breakfast, a fort by lunch, a stage before bath time.
A lowercase serif, a lit window, and the colors of a calm house in the north.
Our mark is that window, with a low sofa glowing inside. It works as an app icon, a woven label, a stamp on the box flap — and it still reads at the size of a fingernail.
Lake is the deep green of a northern lake at dusk. Cloudberry is named after the small golden berry that grows on Finnish bogs — the warm note we keep for little ones.

Open the box in the room where it will live. Cut the wrap, then let it be. It will slowly find its shape over the next few days — a little like settling into a new house.
